Ear, eyebrow, cheekbone, and nipple

Weeks 1–2

  • Wash with water and mild soap 2 to 3 times a day.
  • Optional: apply saline solution.
  • Dry thoroughly.
  • Don't remove or change the jewelry.

Weeks 3–5

  • Avoid moving or touching the jewelry.
  • Don't sleep on the piercing.
  • Avoid tight clothing (depending on the area).
  • Only wear recommended pieces (titanium or surgical steel).

Oral piercings (4 weeks)

  • Brush your teeth after every meal.
  • Use alcohol-free mouthwash.
  • Avoid spicy food, acidic drinks (lemon), greasy food, and extreme temperatures.
  • Don't remove or change the jewelry.

Important

  • Don't use iodine, alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide.
  • Stay out of pools and the ocean during healing.
  • Don't take antibiotics without medical advice.
  • Lymph (a clear or yellowish fluid) is normal.
  • Don't remove the jewelry if the piercing hasn't fully healed, as it can close up. The healing process can take 6 months to 1 year, depending on the area.

Additional info

A clear, yellowish, or whitish discharge is normal; it's called lymph.

If small bumps (granulomas) appear, they're usually caused by touching or pressure. Avoid touching them or sleeping on the piercing; they tend to go away in about two weeks.

Always follow your piercer's instructions. If you have any questions, come in for a check-up so we can evaluate how it's healing and give you the right guidance.
